Our department has made great achievements in the Fifth National College Students' logging skill competition
From April 15 to 18, the Fifth National College Students' logging skills competition ended in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The competition was hosted by the logging Professional Committee of the Chinese Petroleum Society and hosted by the China University of Petroleum (East China). 36 teams from 17 universities participated in the competition. The Department of geology sent a team of graduate students to represent Northwestern University in the competition for the first time.
This competition is a national first-class society competition sponsored by the Chinese Petroleum Society. The competition adheres to the concept of "promoting learning by competition, promoting teaching by competition", promotes the organic integration of basic logging theory and basic skills teaching in Colleges and universities with the practical ability requirements of oilfield enterprises in the form of competition, meets the actual needs of the industry for logging professional engineering talents, and provides students and colleges with a Practice and exchange platform, exercise and improve students' practical ability and comprehensive quality of logging engineering.
The competition lasts for three days and consists of four parts: theory examination, knowledge competition, skill operation and on-site defense. After the fierce competition, the graduate team composed of Lu Junhui, Han Xing, Zhang Min and Wang Tong won the second prize of the graduate team of non oil universities. In addition, Yu Hongyan, the instructor of our school, won the excellent instructor award of the competition.
