1、 Personal profile

Yang Zhao, born in May 1982, doctor. In 2005, he graduated from the geology (base class) of the Department of geology of Northwest University; in 2008, he obtained the master's degree in structural geology of Northwest University; since September 2008, he has successively obtained the overseas study fund of the National Overseas Study fund and the German DAAD scholarship to support his doctoral research in the Institute of structure and remote sensing of the Department of geology, Freiberg University of technology, Germany, and obtained the doctoral degree in 2013. Since 2014, he has been engaged in the teaching and scientific research of structural geology in the Department of geology of Northwest University.

2、 Scientific research

At present, the research interests are mainly focused on the quantitative revealing of the external and internal dynamic geological processes by using the meso low temperature tectono thermochronology (40Ar / 39Ar, fission track and (U-Th) / he dating), including the structural exhumation and uplift of orogenic belt, the burial and denudation of basin sediments, and the geomorphic evolution process. Responsible for the construction and operation of 40Ar / 39Ar laboratory, National Key Laboratory of continental dynamics, Northwest University.

Presided over 1 youth project of NSFC (closed), 1 general project of NSFC, 1 team research project of National Key Laboratory of continental dynamics (Northwest University) (principal), member of continental structure and dynamics innovation research group of NSFC. He has published more than ten papers in academic journals such as lithosphere, Journal of physical research, geological journal, tectonics, Precambrian, etc.
