Professor and doctoral supervisor at Edith Cowan University. In recent years, research directions have mainly included rock mechanics, CT scanning imaging, ultrasound measurement under confining pressure, seismic imaging, and carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS). I graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree from the Moscow State Institute of Physics and Technology in Russia. I have been teaching at Curtin University for 16 years, established a rock physics laboratory, and served as the laboratory director. So far, I have published more than 180 SCI papers, which have been cited more than 4300 times and hold 11 international patents. I am currently the deputy editor in chief of the internationally authoritative journal Journal of Geophysical Research, as well as the deputy editor in chief and reviewer of multiple international journals such as Geophysics and Geophysical Prospecting, which are top journals in geophysics. In 2009, it was awarded the Best Geophysical Innovation Application Award by the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysics Laric Hawkins; Received the Gold Award from the Australian Society for Stratigraphic Evaluation (FESA) in 2012:; In 2016, he was named one of the top 1% highly cited paper authors in the Earth Science community
