  The Saudi Arabian Shield Fine Geological Mapping Project is an international cooperation project jointly carried out by the China Geological Survey (CGS), China Geological and Mining Corporation (CGM), and the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) within an area of 600000 square kilometers of the Saudi Arabian Shield. The project involves carrying out 271 1:100000 scale geological mapping works. The overall implementation of the project is divided into two stages: the first stage takes 5 years and mainly completes 114 geological mapping works for important mineralization zones; In the second stage of 6 years, the main task was to complete 157 geological mapping works in other regions (non mineralization zones).
