On the morning of September 30th, the launch meeting for the 2027 National Natural Science Foundation application of the Department of Geology was held in Conference Room 5-13 of the Geology Building. Department head Long Xiaoping, deputy director Xie Wanli, and Li Qingyan attended the meeting. Teachers who plan to apply for the Youth Science Fund and general projects this year also participated in the meeting.

Long Xiaoping first reported on the approval of funds within the department this year, emphasizing the need to carefully sort out and absorb review opinions, adjust research ideas in a timely manner, focus on teamwork, and actively integrate into the research team.

. He pointed out that the department will organize multiple rounds of expert guidance in stages and invite experts from both inside and outside the school to review the application forms. He hopes that teachers will attach great importance to and prepare carefully, and effectively improve the quality of the application forms.

Xie Wanli provided a detailed introduction to the overall situation of fund applications and approvals for the school and the Department of Geology in recent years. Based on the feedback from the review, she sorted out the common problems of unapproved projects and made arrangements and deployments for the department's fund application work in 2027, clarifying the time nodes and work requirements for each stage.

Long Xiaoping emphasized again in the summary that the quality of the application is the key to the approval of the fund. He hopes that all teachers can plan the research framework and technical route in advance, actively participate in various rounds of application promotion activities within the department, and solidly do a good job in all aspects of the application process.
