Recently, the China Scholarship Council issued the "Notice on the Approval of Funding for the 2026 Innovative Talent International Training Program" (CSC Document No. 2025-38), and the application for the "International Training Program for Innovative Talents in Continental Tectonics and Early Life Evolution" submitted by our department was successfully renewed. The project will be implemented from 2026 to 2028. This successful renewal marks another sustained national-level endorsement of our university's high-level international cooperation and cultivation of innovative talents in the field of Earth Sciences.

This program focuses on internationally cutting-edge research areas such as continental tectonics, early life evolution, basin-mountain systems and their resource-environmental effects, and carbon dioxide capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). It has established and deepened collaborative partnerships with seven world-renowned universities and research institutions: the University of Göttingen (Germany), the University of Graz (Austria), Western University (Canada), the University of Padua (Italy), the University of Queensland (Australia), the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russia), and Uppsala University (Sweden).
