研究方向:以寒武纪早期宽川铺生物群和澄江生物群化石为研究材料,聚焦寒武纪大爆发时期蜕皮动物的古生物学、古生态学及系统发育。研究涉及(1)早期蜕皮动物祖先的身体构型;(2)早期环神经动物神经系统的组成、古生态学;(3)蜕皮行为的起源及其控制因素;(4)早期发育附肢的两侧对称动物的起源;(5)现代海洋底栖微型生物分类学和生态学。
