Zhao Junfeng

Direction:Engaged in teaching and research work in basin analysis and sedimentology, including: reconstruction of basin paleogeography, fine study of river delta and deep-water sedimentary configurations based on outcrop and downhole data, and detailed description of oil reservoirs.

Zhao Junfeng: Male, born in April 1975, a member of the Communist Party of China, professor, and doctoral supervisor. I graduated from China University of Mining and Technology in June 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in Coalfield Geology and Exploration. In June 2007 (with a combined master's and doctoral degree), I graduated from the Department of Geology at Northwest University with a PhD in Mineral Resources Survey and Exploration. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University from July 2007 to April 2009. Since May 2009, I have been teaching at the Department of Geology at Northwestern University. During this time, I have been a visiting scholar to the University of Leeds in the UK (October 2012- March 2013) and the University of Texas at Austin in the US (October 2019- April 2020) for research and collaboration in sedimentology. As the main contributor, he has won two first prizes of Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award and the first prize of Shaanxi Higher Education Science and Technology Award.
