Fan Changyu, male, born in Sanyuan, Shaanxi, holds a Ph.D. in engineering and is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He is also a visiting scholar at the University of Oslo in Norway and an excellent master's thesis supervisor at Northwestern University in 2020. Research interests: oil and gas migration, dynamics of deep and unconventional oil and gas reservoirs, fault control mechanisms, fracture prediction, and the interaction mechanism between fluids and fault activity. Backbone of the national level high-quality resource sharing course team. Lecture courses include "Petroleum and Natural Gas Geology", "Production Practice Teaching of Resource Exploration Engineering", and "Frontiers of Oil and Gas Geology". I have hosted and participated in more than 10 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China General Program (hosted), the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Program (hosted), the National Science and Technology Major Project (participated), and the horizontal project of production units (hosted or participated). As the first author, I have published 14 academic papers in top domestic and foreign industry journals such as AAPG Bulletin, Marine and Petroleum Geology, Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, and Journal of Petroleum. Received two first prizes in provincial, ministerial, and industry scientific research.
