王彬，男，汉族，西北大学地质学系副教授，1976年1月出生。1998年毕业于南京大学地球科学系地质学（基地班），获地质学学士学位，2007年6月获得南京大学构造地质学专业博士学位，2007年9月-2010年7月在西北大学地质系博士后流动站工作，2010年7月出站并留校任教，2014年9月-2015年9月在澳大利亚国立大学访问学者。先后主持国家自然科学基金博士后基金1项，青年基金1项，参与重大项目1项、面上基金1项。目前主要研究晚古生代-早中生代时期，东亚主要板块及微板块的古地理重建。
主要研究领域：构造地质学、古地磁学
